Something a bit different today. Two topics for the price of one article ;)

The first, addressing thankfulness, is a reflection following my Wednesday morning chat on Life FM this past week, specifically dealing with a Bible passage I’ve found to be both deeply meaningful and challenging. It’s Thankfulness Week here in Aotearoa New Zealand.

The second is my experience of one of the sacraments of the Catholic Church at the Cathedral of the Blessed Virgin Mary. I want to explore what the experience of it was like and the thinking behind it. I was moved by it. There are some solid differences when I think about corresponding expressions I’ve experienced in other faith spaces. I’m particularly struck by what it says to our experience of suffering and struggle.
