Dear reader,

Today, October 4th, is the feast day of Saint Francis of Assisi. I find honouring saints to be a good, simple way to draw inspiration from others of the faith who have been before me. It places me in a bigger story; reminding me of the heavenly host of angels and saints of which I am and will be a part.

In fact, there’s a short prayer that I pray most days, particularly when I take the option to sit in intentional silence in the portion of my home office where I have candles and icons. Here is a prayer I pray as I enter into that silence (this will make me sound quite Catholic even though I’m not):
